Application Options
General options
Specify the path to use when you use the reportfunctions of the application. The default path is C:\Reports. The second field is used to specify the name of your default dumpfile. The dumpfiles are used to speed up some of the search functionality of GroupAdmin.
LDAP Options
In order to use the GroupAdmins Directory search functions, specify the name of your local exchangeserver here. Please note that the exchange mail system must be configured to allow LDAP queries
Enterprise Administrator Options (OnePoint EA)
If you use Mission Critical's Enterprise Administrator (EA) in your corporation you can use GroupAdmin to handle global groups instead of using the traditional EA client. You must however have the EA client installed on your machine.
User Management Options
This optionpage gives you powerful options when creating new users in your domains, OU:s and servers. You can also specify if you want groupadmin to help you to delete a users homedirectory when the account itself is deleted. This is not the default behavour and must be specified here.
The default values for created users can be specified with macrovariables as follows:
%n - Full name of the user
%u - SAM accountname (userid)
%d - Current date
In addition to the defaults for created users there are two options which helps you with the creation of the users homedirectories
Create homedirectory if it does not exist
Tries to create the folder you specify to be used as a homedirectory, The
folder must be specified as a complete UNC-path
(\\servername\sharename\foldername)
Set ACL permissions on homedirectory
Tries to set ACL permissions on the specified homedirectory. Requires a share
on an NTFS partition. The ACL:s are set as follows:
Local Administrators group - Full Control
Created user (homedirectory owner) - Full Control
